Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery, the trade-only supplier of high quality, pre-assembled kitchens, is set to open its 150th branch opening in Wokingham on 5th October.
The new branch, which is located on Fishpond’s road off Molly Miller’s lane, begins trading from the 21st September, but will be hosting their official branch opening on the 5th October, where employees also commence fundraising for Benchmarx’ new charity partner, Macmillan.
Over the next three years,Benchmarx, along with the wider Travis Perkins Group, hopes to raise £3million for cancer sufferers. The new Wokingham team will be helping to reach this target with a number of local initiatives including ongoing collections from kitchen deliveries and Macmillan coffee mornings.
Benchmarx, hopes to raise awareness of cancer and its symptoms amongst its customer base too, as recent Macmillan statistics show that a staggering 2.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer, with men 70% more likely to die of cancer than women.
With this in mind, Benchmarx will have collection tins throughout the store on the official opening day, as well as leaflets to provide information and advice for customers.
Those in attendance at the official opening will also be offered a free breakfast as well as being given the opportunity to sign up to the ‘Challenge Chizzy’ event, which will be taking place on 20th October at the branch. This event will see darts champion, Dave ‘Chizzy’Chisnall, who is currently seventh in the world, take on eager challengers in a darts tournament.
Dave Chisnall, whom Benchmarx has recently begun to sponsor, will be going head to head with challengers in a bid to see who can reach 150 points on the dartboard first, in honour of Wokingham being Benchmarx’150th branch. Along with the pride of beating the darts champion, winning contestants will also be given a mystery prize.
Throughout the event, branch staff will be on-hand to offer customers expert product and installation advice. As trade-only suppliers,Benchmarx handle the whole kitchen design process from beginning to end as Benchmarx recognise that home renovation can be stressful. The result of this is that both the tradesman and the customer have an additional support system available to them at every stage.
The Wokingham team will include design professionals, who customers can either visit in branch, or request a free of charge home visit, during which they will assist them with any decision-making involved in the design process. This ensures that their finished Benchmarx kitchen is tailor-made to meet their lifestyle needs. Furthermore, for the customer’s reassurance, all of Benchmarx cabinets and drawer boxes come with lifetime guarantees, and all of the fascias come with a five year guarantee.
The Wokingham branch will be the go-to place for local trade professionals, as Benchmarx provide all of the kitchen components under one roof; from cabinets and joinery, to worktops, splashbacks, and appliances-this is to ensure that the kitchen selection process is as straight-forward as possible.
