Local church is given a complete transformation
Local and much beloved St Phillip’s Community Church in St Helen’s has been given a new lease of life with the addition of a brand new kitchen, donated by a new local kitchen supplier.
The church, regarded by many as the hub of the local community was in dire need of a kitchen makeover as its existing kitchen had been fitted 25 years ago when the church was first built.
The brand new kitchen was donated by the new BenchmarxKitchens & Joinery branch based on Taurus Business Park in Warrington. Featuring new sinks, taps, worktops and doors, the welcome addition will ensure that there is always tea and biscuits on hand for visitors to the church.
Dave Jones, Church Warden at St Phillip’s Church, is grateful for the support received. He commented:
“We were in urgent need of a new kitchen and so we were thoroughly grateful when Benchmarx offered their support. The church is an important part of the local area and this donation will ensure that we can continue to serve and provide refreshments for our congregation and the wider community alike.”
In addition to the church donation, the new BenchmarxKitchens & Joinery branch will be undertaking a number of other local charity initiatives over the months ahead. This will include ongoing donations for kitchen deliveries for charity partner Macmillan, with Benchmarx aiming to raise £3 million to help those affected by cancer over the next three years.
The new Warrington branch will be the go-to place for local trade professionals for kitchens and joinery. Ensuring that the selection process is as straight-forward as possible, the branch will contain everything from appliances, worktops, doors and floors, enabling homeowners to achieve their dream kitchen.
Branch Manager, Darren Anders is excited about the new branch opening. He said:
“With more than 170 Benchmarx locations across the UK, it’s great to be able to open a branch in Warrington. I’m really looking forward to heading up the new team and to welcoming local fitters and customers alike. We’re also keen to get involved in helping the local community and it is great to be able to help St Philip’s Church. It was my local family church growing up and I visited it regularly, so I was glad to be able to lend a hand and provide them with a brand new kitchen.”
